Our Mumbai journey began in January 2007, when we were asked by one of our UK retail clients, to look into creating a commercial photographic studio, big enough to deliver India’s first large-scale home shopping catalogue.
By July 2007 we had shot over 4,000 products and creatively directed over 500 pages of the first Hypercity Argos catalogue. And by February 2008 we had successfully produced the second; quickly gaining a reputation for marrying creativity and commercialism.
Our experience with Hypercity gave us an invaluable insight into the retail environment and the wider market. After speaking and exhibiting at both the Indian Retail Forum and the Indian Fashion Forum, we were more certain than ever that the market was right for our investment, and the launch of Photolink Creative India (PVT).
